TE-25 vs Darth Reya

TE-25 stood atop the glistening towers of Coruscant, the glare of the sun glittering off the pristine rooftops of the planet-wide city. His sensors analyzed every minute detail of the surrounding rooftops; everything from the speed and direction of the wind to the position and velocity of the small ships. However, all of his primary sensors were now focused on the figure in front of him, indicating her pulse, adrenaline levels, muscle tightness, and a range of other things, all calculating what her first move would be. His primary objective: Eliminate Darth Reya.

He tossed a small brown parcel no bigger than a grenade on the floor before disappearing in the flicker of a stealth field generator. A moment later, the parcel detonated, removing the entire top floor of the building they were both standing on.

Calmly, Reya assesed the droid. She knew its design had made it one of the most advanced assasin protocol droids of its time. However, it was still simply a droid. It was made of metal, stealth field generator or not, it would make noise when it moved. She ignited one of her lightsabers and let it float in the air in a circle around her as the floor exploded, and she fell through landing softly on the floor below. The ruble was everywhere, dust flying as a result of the explosion. Reya smirked, the dust would make the shield generator less effective. She shut off the floating lightsaber and kept it floating there as she started to feel the room, using the force.

TE-25 had calculated a high probability that the sith would enter a meditative state to find his location. For that reason, he had landed on the very edged of the building, on arm holding onto the wall to keep him stead while he used the magnetic locks in his feet to clamp on to the outside of the building.

It was child's play for him to lock on to her heat signature, his shoulder mounted disruptor rifle targeting her center of gravity. Before he opened fire, TE-25 attached a permacrete explosive to the outside of the building. The moment the explosive was set, TE-25's stealth field collapsed as his disruptor rifle roared to life, showing Darth Reya in a hail of energy bolts.

The crashing sound of blaster hitting wall and the hiss of the first bolts as they flew through the air, seemed to go in slow motion for Reya. Her mind was actutely aware of her surroundings, and the moment that bubble was broken the floating lightsaber roared to life, flipping around deflecting the brunt of the barrage of bolts. Reya ignited her second lightsaber, holding it in her hands and deflecting the star bolts that managed to get through. Now that the droid had given away his position, Reya backed away slowly blocking bolt after bolt until she reached a hallway, which she ducked into.

No doubt the droid had some trap waiting, if he was so willing to loose his cover, perhaps to draw her in closer. She put her back against the wall, waiting to see what TE-25 would do, now that she had hidden herself away from him. She did hope he came to her, she would have a surprise waiting, as she gathered force within her body. She turned off her floating saber once more, and began to focus.

TE-25 watched as Reya backed through the blaster fire, ducking into the main hallway leading to the elevators. There was a deafening silence when TE-25's disruptor rifle fire came to a halt, momentarily broken by the sound of Reya's light saber deactivating. He knew that she would most likely be waiting for him there, though, and while he was efficient at hand to hand combat, it wasn't worth the risk to engage the Sith Lord in close combat.

Instead, he threw another permacrete explosive forward, detonating it the moment it passed into the entrance into the hallway. The explosion destroyed that entire floor of the building as well, throwing him backwards out the broken wall and into the air where he impacted the wall of the adjacent building. He nearly fell, but was quick to catch himself with his magnetic locks. Preliminary diagnostics of himself showed that he had lost some motor function in his left arm and that his disruptor rifle had been dislodged from it's place on his shoulder and was no longer usable. He reached up and tore the broken weapon from it's place, placing it inside the storage compartment inside the massive covering on his left arm.

He returned his attention to the smoking rooftop, looking or any sign of Darth Reya.

The reason she had been gathering th force was in fact, for a Force Malestrom. What she had thought was the droid in the air coming towards her, was in fact a permacrete detanator which as it was visible went off. Reya had been in the process of discharging the malestrom, and the burst of energies seemed to cancel each other out, as the floor around her was destroyed completely. Finally, the explosion and release of energy complete Reya fell, the rubble falling on top of her. She had been lucky enough to have had the stored energy beforehand, she doubted she would get that lucky again...but wait...its the force, no such thing as luck. Right.

Reya kicked a slab of rubble off of her and muffled her cough. She had broken ribs, 2 at least, maybe even three 3. Probably stress fractures as well, that had not been fun and she wishd to not repeat the experience. Time to go on the offensive. Reya cacooned herself in the force, allowing her to ignore her injuries, and leaped upwards flying through the dust to land on what remained of the rooftop. She looked squarely at the droid as she noticed it no longer had the shoulder mounted disrupter gun.

Suddenly a lightsaber erupted to life, but the one in Reya's hand was still quiet. Reya had made the floating lightsaber end up behing the droid and was now aiming for a quick slice on his head. Meanwhile Reya had gathered more of the force to push out at the droid to dislogde it from the building.

TE-25 was watching Darth Reya the moment her silhouette appeared through the smoke. He saw that she only had one lightsaber with her, but he paid it no mind. He had not seen her throw it, and there was a high probability that it had been destroyed in the explosion. He readied his Ion Cannon, but he was startled by the snap-hiss of a lightsaber activating right next to his head. He ducked, the blade whizzing through the empty air that occupied the space his head had been a moment ago. Because of the motion, though, he was not in a proper position to resist the force push from the Sith Lord above him.

He was sent skidding down the wall, his claws dragging trenches into the metal of the building. He skidded a full two stories before he slowed to a halt. He looked back up to where Reya was, lifting his left arm. The front began to glow yellow before a sphere of energy was launched at Reya. The sphere impacted the edge of the wall she was standing on, creating a massive explosion. This explosion, however, was not as strong as the explosions from the permacrete detonators.

Reya was annoyed that the droid remained lodged to the side of the building. She gritted her teeth as she moved the levitating lightsabee in position to attack the assasin droid yet again. Before she could though her attention was diverted to the droid raising its hand, the end begining to glow. "You gotta be shittin' me." As the ion blast rocketed towards her. She jumped, with her amplified strentgh using the force and was rocketed upwards from the explosion as well. She flipped in the air and landed on the roof of the building TE-25 was latched onto.

Reya cut a hole around her falling through the roof, and then again, until she was on the same floor as TE-25. She ran stealthily until she was certain that the droid was on the other side of the wall she faced. She couldnt be sure how the droid would be placed, but she knew it was on the other side of this wall. She placed both her hands on this wall and reached out with the force, a blast of force energy that disintegrated the wall and would rocket anything behind it, hopefully sending the droid tumbling into oblivion.

TE-25 watched as Reya disappeared onto the rooftop above him. Without wasting a moment, he launched himself up the rooftop, scrambling up the side of the building. He reached out, snagging her second lightsaber out of the air without breaking stride, breaking it in half with his free hand. Without a second thought, he tossed the broken pieces down into the abyss below him. He reached the roof in moments, immediately seeing the hole that Reya had passed through. He calculated a high probability of catching her off guard if he followed her trail immediately. Without a moment's hesitation he leapt forward and dove down the hole, following Reya.

He landed just as she blew out the wall he had been clinging too a moment ago. Hoping to catch her off guard and off balance near the exit, he brought out his lightsaber at it's full ten foot length in a horizontal slash at her exposed back, hoping to cleave her in two, if not force her out the open window.

Her first warning was when she lost her connection to her second lightsaber. Her second warning, the loud "clump" as the droid's heavy alloy hit the floor. And her thrid and most obvious warning was when she blew out the wall and the droid was not there. However, she had already planned her next move after the first warning. By the time the droids saber was ignited Reya had already started jumping. As the blade whizzed at where she had been only moments ago Reya flew through the hole in the wall free falling for 3 seconds off the tall building and landed on a passing transport.

It rocked under the blow, and Reya looked upwards at the droid as the transport coontinued on its journey in the general direction of the Senate building. She knew the droid would follow, its assasination protocols would command it to do so. She narrowed her eyes, and crouched ready to move. She had not forgotten about the ion cannon. However, even with all this traffic and the high rate of speed at which the transport was moving, it was still a droid. Reya needed to get to open ground, and the Senate building would be a good place to make a stand. She eyed the droid, watching to see what it would do, having already planned her escape.

TE-25 had planned for her to tumble out of the building and fall into the abyss below them, never to be heard from again, not for her to leap out of the opening and land on one of the passing shuttles, carrying her away from. He let out a metallic groan, "Irritating..."

He walked to hole in the wall that Darth Reya had made and peered around the corner, finding which route Reya was on. He turned back to the street, watching traffic whiz by for a moment before leaping out into the flow of traffic, landing on a cargo transport following the same route as the ship that Reya had leapt onto. The ship tilted from the sudden weight, but the driver was quick to correct as he continued on his way. TE-25 turned his attention back to the ships ahead, picking out Reya rather easily. He brought his left arm up, activating his Ion Cannon. The front glowed green for a moment before the sphere of energy was launched out, flying through the air before it punctured the car that Reya was standing on and detonated, the explosion rocking transports on all sides, the ion residue causing some of them to deactivate, plummeting into the abyss.

Reya had been wise to keep her eyes on the droid. As soon as it fired she leaped onto a nearby car and watched as her previous ride exploded and flew downwards into the abyss of Corsucant. She glanced at the droid, then turned away and began hopping from car to car, using the force to increase the strngth behind her jumps, timing them perfectly, landing and then jumping again. So far, since the droid hadn't fired consecutive blasts, she figured the ion cannon had a cooldown of some sort, a short interval between blasts.

That left arm would have to be detached somehow. In the meantime Reya could cause some mayhem and make things more difficult for the droid. As she hopped from car to car, she used the force to rip off the smaller, lighter ones from their course and send them hurtling at the transport TE-25 was on. Soon though they would arrive at the Senate building.

TE-25 watched as Reya began to increase the distance between eachother, leaping from transport to transport. He raised his cannon to fire, but saw the smaller transports twisting through the air at him. He clenched his right fist, then released it, growling, "Stand still and die already, Reya."

As the first of the transports reached him in launched himself in the air, touching down on it for just a moment before leaping into the air again, watching as the second light transport went tumbling under him, before he landed on a third light transport He launched himself forward again, this time landing on a heavy transport. An explosion from one of the light transports behind him rocked him forward, but he was quick to steady himself. He lifted his Ion Cannon as Reya continued to leap from transport to transport, waiting until she was in the air before firing. The green sphere ripped through the air before it impacted the transport she was about to land on, detonating it.

As the car she was aiming for exploded into nothing Reya had one thought. Well, Fuck. Acting quickly she went head first into a dive and right before impact flipped and cushioned herself with the force to crash through the roof and kick the driver out. She turned it around and now more than 100 yards below TE-25 him now Reya smirked. However she would need to go higher, the Senate building was approaching. She pulled up on the yoke and up she went, zooming upwards at breakneck speeds. As the platform approached she leaped out and landed gracefully on it, the Senate Honor Guards looking at her with amazement.

Reya ignored them as she walked backwards awaiting the arrival of the droid. Finally, she could get into a close quarters combat with this stupid droid that had given her so much trouble. Had this not been such a cramped place to fight, she couldnt have had as much trouble as she did now, but the conditions gave the advntage to the dorid, and so Reya had had to seek out a suitable destination to fight a droid with a 10ft long lightsaber. Annoying. "Come, come I don't have all day droid." She muttered as the Honor Guards tried to decide what to do.

TE-25 watched in frustration as Reya landed on the speeder, easily hijacking it and speeding ahead to the senate building. He slammed his fist down in replicated anger, puncturing the roof of the transport he was crouched on. He waited until the transport was near the senate building before he leveled his Ion Cannon, the front giving it's telltale green glow before a green sphere was fired down on the platform, the sphere impacting at Reya's feet, blowing a hole through the landing pad. It was damaged, but still intact. Dust kicked up in the air, and in the confusion, TE-25 activated his stealth field generator. He took the opportunity to leap down to the edge of the landing pad before activating the magnetized locks on his feet. He crawled on the underside of the landing platform to the hole he had created. He stopped short, scanning the area for Reya's heat signature. After a moment, he found a heat signature that matched her outline, standing no more than three feet from him. He pressed his right hand up on the floor beneath it, activating his lightsaber.

The ten foot blade swept through the ground like a hit knife through butter, lancing up through the platform.

TE-25 was becoming predictable now. She wondered how many more shots he could take with that ion cannon which, since it was his arm, meant its power source had to be from the droid. Well, not necessarily, but in terms of design, if his arm also was a storage container for the disrupter rifle, for the sake of space and maneuverability, having the design make a seperate energy charge in the arm would be inefficient. In any case Reya could see the ion shot coming a mile away and took the opportunity to leap backwards. Not much more later a lightsaber burst through the platform where she'd been moments ago. Amusing. She took the time to pull grenades from the belts of several Senate Honor Guards.

She primed them and threw all 6 of them using the force and down the hole TE-25 had made and held them in the air as they exploded. 2 were plasma grenades, the rest were lovingly nicknamed "droid poppers" by soilders, the electric grenades meant to short out droid circuttry. Convienient that the Honor Guards had them, though they had to be ready for anything to protect the oh-so-important Senate. She quickly turned and sprinted into the Senate building, where TE-25 would most likely follow. It may seem as though she was running away but Reya was having fun at this point, if a droid had feelings, TE-25 would probably be in frustration mode right now.

She knew he was tracking her heat signature, and she wanted to gamble that the droid poppers had shorted out at least his infra-red sensory equipment, however, to make sure she shielded her presence using the force, a difficult task for a non assasin, but still doable. She walked to the center of a large open ballroom, with pillars going down in rows that made it seem like a giant chess baord almost. Standing in the middle of the room she waited for that kriffing droid to appear.

The moment that the grenades entered the hole TE-25 grabbed onto the rim of the hole and pulled himself through. The force of his effort launched him into the air, where he landed away from the hole in the landing pad. He stood, a safe distance from the grenades that detonated underneath the platform. He began to walk forward, but paused, turning his head to listen to the nearly inaudible groan of metal bending. He turned back to the doorway that Reya had gone through, sprinting towards it at full speed, backhanding a guard that had regained his bearings out of the way. Slowly, the landing pad began to droop, before it buckled, collapsing down onto the landing pad below it, causing a chain reaction, dragging all the landing pads below it down into the abyss.

TE-25 watched from the edge as the platform tumbled down into the shrouded underbelly of Coruscant before turning back, following Reya's most likely trail. He activated his stealth field generator, making his way to the room where he tracked Reya's heat signature to. He dropped down at her from above, virboblade extended so that he could taker her down without her hearing him coming. Because of his nature, it was impossible for her to track him with the force. She would never see him coming.

As he fell through the air he brought down his vibroblade, aimed for her neck.

Whether or not, she could see the droid or sense it using the force was irrelevant when she could suddenly feel death knocking at her door. A feeling of dread, perhaps pain, was felt through her mind as she saw herself dying. But, it hadnt happened yet. She knew it had a stealth field generator, and that was a good enough reason to be prepared. So while she waited for the inevitable sneak attack listening to the explosions outside, she started a buildup of force energy. The dark unstable energy that can be used for a malestrom or storm, except the thick static in the air ended up filling the entire room. The same as if a spider made a web. TE-25 broke that web.

She felt when the string broke. At that moment she ignited her lightsaber, and jump forward and rolled, coming out of the roll to see TE-25 vibro blade extended having slashed at her, probably to decapitate. Reya coughed up blood, she couldn't take much more of this. But, she drew on her pain. Her anger. Her hatred. A bubble of lightning formed as Reya grew angrier and angrier. This droid was trying to kill her. A droid she had commisioned for creation. And after rolling, Reya was unleashing a storm of lightning at TE-25. One larger than usual. Enough to short out his cirutry, at least even temporarily.

TE-25 watched as Reya leapt out from underneath him, avoiding death by less than a centimeter as his blades passed by her back, slicing through the empty air. He landed, with a thump, his stealth field deactivated, dissolving in a white shimmer. He sheathed his blade, opting instead to pull out his lightsaber. The blade fell from it's canister, landing in his open palm. He activated the red blade, the standard color of all Sith sabers. As it extended, he began to rapidly activate it and deactivate it at a pace that only a droid could maintain, keeping the blade at the standard length of all lightsabers. He brought it down into the standard Makashi stance, flawless down to the minute detail.

His sensors scanned her as she coughed up blood. He knew that as long as he outlasted her and prevented her from obtaining medical aid, she would die from her injuries before long. He was immediately on guard, though, when her face contorted in rage, a sphere of electricity forming around her. His processor began calculating possible attack methods. By the time she released her force storm, he was already moving. As the arc of lightning leapt from her fingertips, TE-25 leapt into the air, curling his legs and launching off one pillar and landing behind another, avoiding the force storm.

When the storm passed he leapt out from behind cover, launching himself into the air and briefly landing on the side of a pillar before launching himself at Darth Reya, lightsaber swinging in a horizontal slash, "Afraid to face me head on, Reya?"

She watched as the droid dodged her attack. Lucky thing, that would have been a death blow for the droid. Ah well. The droid pulled out something Reya had been expecting. A lightsaber, however she knew several things. One of which being that the droid liked to turn it on and off, making it impossible to block. However, the droid was in the air. Fool. Before TE-25 could hit the ground Reya's hand camp up once more, as if she were to push him with the force. However, she caught him instead. Then once again calling upon her endless reserves of hate for this assasin droid she closed her fist. Force Crush. One of the darkest things a Sith can use the force for. "Not afraid, just cautious though fear can be a powerful tool." She responded. By now she was panting, she had enough strength for one more move, that was it, if this didnt work.

TE-25 was confident in his chances of victory, even when Darth Reya lifted her hand to use the force. His sensors indicated, with her current physical state, an 80% chance that she would use a force push. He brimmed with simulated confidence. He only truly began to panic when all form of moment stopped. There was a 90% chance that a Force Crush was imminent. His processors were rapidly firing countermeasures at him. He lifted his Ion Cannon, the front giving it's telltale green glow. At the same time he thrust his lightsaber out and extended it to it's full length, trying to spear Darth Reya. However, once the Force Crush began, TE-25's right arm was crushed in at the elbow and shoulder, forcing the stab to veer to the right, cutting through a length of Reya's hair but doing no real damage. At the same time, TE-25's left arm began to implode towards his body, looking as if an invisible man was pounding it with a sledgehammer. The green glow at the tip gave a sputter, then died, fading away. His head and torso received treatment similar to TE-25's left arm, crushing inwards as if being beaten.

After a short period in the air, TE-25 collapsed onto the ground, the front of his Ion Cannon smoldering. He lay there for a moment before slowly rising to his feet, looking as though he had taken a trip through a trash compactor. His right arm was nearly completely useless, and there was a large crack going down the middle of his optic sensor. His head, left arm, and torso appeared to have been beaten with a hammer swung with superhuman force. However, despite this, TE-25's eye glowed a bright red, a statement that he yet lived. His damaged optic seemed to have a glimmer of smugness in it, "Still hiding behind the Force, Reya? You should know that the Force doesn't effect me as it does others. I am... resistant, you could say."

There was a brief clicking of locks being unlatched before TE-25's beaten Ion Cannon fell to the ground, revealing a nearly completely undamaged left arm. He reached across his body, pulling his lightsaber from his right arm's broken grasp before activating it, holding it in the same manner as he did early, rapidly activating it and deactivating it to keep it at the standard saber length. He dropped into the standard Makashi battle stance- a mirror image of the stance he was in earlier with his right hand. He tilted his head forward, still keeping his eye on Reya, ""Have you finally come to reason and abandoned all hope?"

"Hope? Why would I need hope when Im fighting a poorly programmed droid. I have confidence, and that can never be taken from me by a droid with a crap design. When the 26 series begins construction you will become obsolete." She smiled, all things considered, she had damaged the droid as much as she had wanted to. Despite his resistance to force abilities. She would, of course modify that with the 26 series, as well as a loyalty sub-routine that shut down the droid if it attacked Reya, but TE-25 made a good test subject. She needed to destroy the chest cavity of TE-25, doing so would render the droid inopperable until further repair. However, Reya had made sure that it was also the hardest part of the droid to destroy. How problematic.

"If Im hiding behind the force, you're hiding behind you're toys, that ion cannon, detonators, disrupter rifle. They are a part of you, just as the force is a part of me. But your faulty programming cant see past that, and youve already made so many mistakes, the 26 series will most definately make you obsolete."

She activated her lightsaber and contemplated what to do. She could go for a destructive attack, however she would need to charge it up. There were other methods. Reya needed to conserve her energy. Using as little energy as she could she walked around the room slicing the pillars causing them to fall and shatter on the ground. She hopped up onto some of the rubble and took a fighting stance. Amusing that the droid had only one arm that was usable. Reya would take that into note as she gathered the force for the last time.

TE-25, however, was not going to give her that she needed to charge up whatever technique that she was going to use. The moment her feet left the ground TE-25 bent down and scooped up the arm covering that he had dropped to the ground earlier. He charged forward, hurling the covering with all his considerable strength at Darth Reya. He followed the arm covering, extending his lightsaber behind it, ready to swerve around it and skewer Reya through he heart.

Inwardly, he was enraged by Reya's comments about making a TE-26 series. The very notion that he could be replaced or be considered obsolete made him want to tear Reya apart with his bare hands. However, he was easily able to mask this, "Taunting a droid, Reya? You should know better than to waste your time like this."
